Maternity Sessions

Welcome...

I am so excited and flattered that you chose me to capture your maternity memories. Although I am sure that they are many days you are uncomfortable and just want this part to be over, there will be days ahead where you miss this time. It is such a special time between just you and baby that no one else gets to be a part of. Kind of like a special secret that only you share. And that little one already knows you so well....

Preparing for your session...

What should you wear?

This is the fun part! Think about your style. I always think simplicity is best if you are unsure. Also know that you don't have to break the bank on a great dress. Walmart.com or amazon have great ones. Also you can rent photoshoot dresses from websites like mamabumps.com. If this is something that you do want to invest in then check out facebook/etsy sites from Anna Brandt, Sew Trendy or Chicaboo. They have gorgeous ones.

*please know that in order to "fly" your dress like the picture, you need an extra long train. Not all dresses are made for this.

What do I need to bring?

All you need to bring is you. However some things you can think about including are:

*ultrasound picture

*special book or stuffed animal

*Baby shoes or onesie

*sign

.

Although sessions usually last between 30 min to an hour you can also bring make up to retouch, especially if it is hot outside.

Locations

Choosing the right location for your maternity session is important to get the look that you want to create. My most popular places are Coal creek farms in Jenks, Woodward park in Tulsa, Gilcrease Museum, and I also have access to a field in Owasso if you like that tall grass, sunset look. I also offer studio sessions that can be a lot of fun and nice if the weather is too hot or too cold outside.

You can click the links below to see different examples of several locations. Let me know if you have any questions about any of them.

Can family be included?

Yes! This is a special time for the whole family so I welcome your significant other and kids to be part of this session. Just please let me know your kiddos ages ahead of time so I can be prepared.(also please only include immediate family unless we talk first)

I hope that helps to answer all of your questions but if you think of anything else please don't hesitate to ask!

See you soon!!
